This is little Jesse. She is four and is the daughter of one of the house mothers and fathers at Casa Betesda. Her parents live there, cook and help with all odd jobs needed. Jesse and her two brothers live there, too. She is wearing some of the donated clothing given by a wonderful Rosarian family and also some of the hairbows donated, too. Every morning, Jesse would greet us with all of the other children with smiles and squeals of laughter. I am remembering the many hours spent with her on the swingset; me pushing her, her pushing me. It's hard to tell who had more fun!
This is Charlie, age, 5, Jesse's brother. He is also wearing new clothes from another generous Rosarian family, and is playing with a new truck. I could barely get him to look up for the picture as he was so entranced in imagination while playing with it. I was so blessed to be part of this gift giving Christmas celebration in Nicaragua. I can hardly wait for Christmas again.

This is Alex, Jesse and Charlie's 6-year old brother.
Yes, new clothes and balloon fun.
Later this day, I remember Alex really
enjoying his ice cream cone,
even licking his elbow from the drippings.
