Already I am missing my Nicaraguan family; the children at the orphanage who are no longer orphans in mind or in spirit; the amaZing team of sisters and brothers in Christ who I travelled and ministered with; the mothers and fathers in the faith who filled me up with love and encouragement throughout the week of ministry and pouring out. I miss those I met who are physically poor, hungry and homeless, yet they are rich in spirit as they walk completely by faith and deeply know WHO provides for them everyday. Ironically I went to Nicaragua to release the Kingdom of God in that nation and I came home with a stronger conviction to release a deeper knowledge and revelation of God in Christ Jesus in this nation.
I asked the same question perhaps many hundreds of times to those I met: "Este Jesus Christo en el corazon?" and many times I received a resounding "Yes!" in return. There were hundreds of times I was told, "Quiero invitar Jesus Christ en el corazon ahora!" NOW! I found the people immediately open to the One True Helper Who brought salvation, deliverance and healing to those lost, those in bondage and those wounded: no resistance or confusion.
They have but One Idol and His Name is God, the Most High. No other idols named Chanel, Mercedes or Jimmy Choo exist for them. And as they heard about Our God Who sent His Only Son, Jesus, to seek and save that which is lost, they immediately were overcome with His Goodness and led to repentance.
Upon return to another mission field here I pray for His grace every day to strengthen me, to persevere, to be filled with His Love for His people and to release all that I received in Nicaragua to my own community in South Florida "For it is by grace that we are saved, through faith - and this not from ourselves - it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Eph. 2:8-9.
I will continue to share my experiences here over the coming weeks as I process all that occurred in me and in Nicaragua. Thank you for your love, prayers and support of this successful mission.
